Did you hear them coming?

I'll be honest I have no idea where these titles are coming from, but I do know that I need to get on the ball of updating this for the many non-readers out there. As I am typing I am already procrastinating writing this blog by watching March Madness. I am a college basketball fanatic. I grew up watching North Carolina and only North Carolina. From there I became addicted, and will only watch college sports. Right now I'm doing awesome on my brackets and that's a change from last year haha. I usually suck at choosing teams. There isn't much going on here, I am bogged down with work for finals next week and longing for our break the following week. BTW, Villanova just won and I picked them, told you I was getting good! I applied to two more places this week. I walked in and started applying to Best Buy on their computers but it too so long that I finished at home. Then I turned in my application to American Eagle. Luckily I have friends working at both places so I won't feel so out of place if I'm hired. I still haven't heard from Swatch but I don't think they have the store finished in Union Station. So I switched to Hell's Kitchen, I just love watching Chef Ramsay scream at those other chefs. I don't even know what to write in here. ChaCha started to pick up this week, but the only problem is that people ask the absolute dumbest questions. They ask impossible stuff like "What's the name of that guy I saw last week" or "How many games did Michael Jordan play against the Pacers while he was with the Bulls." Seriously? Come on people get your crap together and stop asking stupid things that can never be answered. Rant over. I think I'm going to hang this up for the night and just keep watching some basketball.

each to his own

So today I did absolutely nothing. Surprising, right? I only had a maximum 10 questions to answer on Chacha which is killing me. How am I supposed to make money when I don't get any questions to answer? I'm still trying to find a job blogging to help on the side but I haven't heard back from the Android blog but I am semi faithful that they will contact me. I started another blog about photography that I hope to keep up and provide tips and tricks for other photographers (f64fun.today.com). Until I can get a real blog this will have to do. I want the site to be more and to shine but right now I have to build a reader base and get my site visited a lot before I can expand.

Enough about that, i guess. I started to watch DepressionCooking on Youtube today and this lady is stellar. These meals are so cheap that a homeless person getting spare change could eat for a week. She is 91 years old and is sharing the recipes from her childhood way back during the depression. While the food cooks she also shares stories of living during the worst time in the history of the US. The videos cover breakfast lunch and dinner and even a holiday video. The great thin is that she started this one year ago but stopped and didn't start back until we fell into a recession. Yes I said it. We are in a recession, debate me if you want but we are definitely in a recession and heading or a depression. Hey don't fuss at me for saying depression, the funny thing is that people turn to panic when someone mentions the word depression. Their minds shoot back to the Great Depression and they freak at the thought of losing everything and living on nothing. Well the reality is that depressions don't have to be as bad as the Great Depression, so deal with it. I dunno, I feel we put ourselves in this position and we are responsible for fixing it and shouldn't be waiting for other nations to throw their pity on us. Wow I sorta went way of on a tangent. Anyway check out the videos here and start making hekka good meals on the cheap.

Ok so I'm done for today, I'm way too tired.

Well Here's To You

Ok so I lied, let's get this straight, I'm a liar, well to you but you're virtual so it doesn't matter.  Ok so I had some time between classes and I felt obligated to blab on here about how things are in the big city.

Well it has been a great first quarter so far.  I can see my work improving on a weekly basis and I'm starting to learn more about my personal style as a photographer.  Every week we have had 144 pictures per project about a certain camera function, depth of field, motion, abstract, etc. and I have loved every assignment.  144 pictures seems like a lot to most people but to me and many others thats how many we take in an hour.  The problem is picking out which ones actually look worthy of keeping.  So school is going great and I enjoy all my classes, they are much more involved than reading out of a textbook and taking tests every week while the teacher gives a 2-hour long lecture in the same monotone voice.

My main problem with life up here is that there are no jobs to be had, none.  I have applied to 5 different retail jobs and only one gave me a first interview.  This is a huge city and yet there are no jobs within a 20 mile radius.  Another problem, roommates.  Yeah I said it, I debated on weather to bring it up since I would probably post this link on Facebook, but I am better at talking on a computer than in person.  Wow I never met any people so whiney in my whole life.  I have one that I can completely trust who has my back at all times and I only met him two months ago, but we are cool and seeing that we grew up around the same area it makes it easier.  The other ones are the puppet and puppeteer.  I laugh my butt off every time I see them at work.  One is so afraid to tell the other something because the other gets him the "stuff" he needs.  I hope you understood that.  Well I can't sit here and make this blog dreary, but I can guarantee there will be more posts detailing the situations.

So if I'm going to write in a positive manor, then let's think of something positive.  Ok, I'm traveling home today.  I love it there, I get peace and quiet (usually) and all the people I love are there and all my friends are within a stone's throw.  I love having a place where I can do work and not have to hear music playing or people fighting and yelling.  Well on to more positive things.  On a lighter note I got hired to work for Chacha.com as a guide.  Chacha is a service that allows you to send questions through text on your phone (to 242-242) and we, the guides, search for the answer to your questions.  While right now it doesn't pay much, I can see it prospering.  I don't expect to make a career out of it but if I can get enough to pay metro fare each week then I am glad to help.  Im also trying to become a better blogger, by working for technology blogs.  I know it's nerdy but at $5 an article you can't beat it.  Currently I am starting back writing for Mactropolis.com and hope to be starting at a new Android blog (this one pays).  I'm going to be stopping at Tyson's corner today to pick up some cupcakes for a former co-worker, and of course one or two for me.  They are the best cupcakes in the world.  They are from CakeLove which was started by a Food Network chef who is based in DC.  They are quite pricey but they are gourmet and all natural so it's worth the cost.  Cupcakes and a Diet Mountain Dew, wow life is good.

Ok so this seems like a lot to me, but it seems like its short.  I hope I can keep this up and that people don't get worked up over it.  Eff them this is my part of this big internet so I'll say what I want :-)

Well Class is close to starting, but not really, I'm just tired of writing and need to converse with real people haha no offense.  Have a great day!

A Fresh Start

Well hello again, I think I'm going to treat this like we first met and I screwed up the conversation. Hi, I'm Wes and I need a fresh start. A place to share my ideas and complain about the rest of the world. Well I guess I could share some of my works as a photographer. So sit back, relax, and well do whatever you want I can't control you.

Be prepared to have your mind blown.... tonight haha...
